2023 Scholarship Recipients

2023schwinnersOur Society held its annual Awards Luncheon on Sunday, May 7, 2023, and was proud to present scholarships to five outstanding university students who will be studying in Italy over the next year. This event is a highlight of the year’s activities and would not be possible without the support of all who have contributed to our Scholarship Fund. A special “thank you” goes to members of the Scholarship Committee and to our Board for their hard work and continued support to make this occasion memorable for all who attended.

2022 Scholarship Recipients

On Sunday, May 1, 2022, the annual Awards Luncheon took place at the Mount Vernon Canyon Club. The nearly eighty people in attendance enjoyed the beautiful venue and delicious meal as well as the opportunity to interact with our scholarship winners. A heartfelt “Thank You” goes to all who have contributed to the Dante Alighieri Society Scholarship Fund. This important aspect of our organization could not continue without your support.

The Giulio Marcantonio Memorial Scholarship was awarded to Ireland Rose Dunlap, who will be studying at the Lorenzo de Medici in Florence, Italy. The Dr. Frank J. & Mary J. Giardino Memorial Scholarship was awarded to Marjorie Moessbauer, who will study at ISA at Universita’ Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan, Italy. The third scholarship was presented to Brinna Faughnan, who will also study at the Lorenzo de Medici in Florence, Italy. All three winners are students at the University of Denver.

2021 Scholarship Recipients

On Sunday, May 2, 2021, the annual Awards Luncheon took place at the Mount Vernon Canyon Club.  The nearly eighty people in attendance enjoyed the opportunity to interact with our award winners, an entertaining musical performance by Angela Mendez, a prominent actress and singer in the Denver area, and a sumptuous meal.

A heartfelt “Thank You” goes to all who have contributed to the Dante Scholarship Fund.  This most important part of the Society could not continue without your support.
